Veolia Transport is a world leader in operation and management of public transport systems. Their Auckland offices grew quickly in size and complexity to cope with the growing demand.
Having ARTA as their main client, Veolia needed a robust business case to get approval for the changes to their office space. Being a local authority and under close scrutiny from the public, they had to justify the expenditure. They lacked meeting rooms and training space for their 50 staff.
We were responsible for designing the expansion of their head office to two floors and project managing the fit-out. Relocating the operations team from Britomart was also part of our brief.
Managing Director, Arthur Bruce said our company was experiencing a typical organic growth. Over-crowded spaces was not optimizing the job business role, especially in terms of security for our HR & Safety teams. Security was the main driver to take on the project."
“We are a customer serviced base and learning organization. Our trainers are very happy with their new facility. The AV works exceptionally well and the right furniture was selected to provide flexibility in each of our 3 training rooms."
“We no longer have to rent space to accommodate our daily training meetings. Since we've completed the project we've trained over 400 employees.
“Malcolm & Sumner understood the goals. The key value Diane added, was that she understood how people worked, what the teams needed and worked with them to create the right working environment.
“Our client, ARTA can see that it was money well spent and that we are really achieving what we set out to do.
“Malcolm & Sumner have very good communicative skills. They consulted witlh each staff member to ensure that we ended up with quality working space for the team.
“Think carefully what you want to achieve and how the space works for people, rather than just accommodate what they ask for.
